Therefore, rid yourself of all malice. 1 Peter 2:1
You might have been hurt. Betrayed. Backstabbed. Lied about. Harassed. Bullied. It stinks; there's not getting around it. you have to let the bitterness go. You need to forgive, even if the person doesn't seem sorry. Jesus said on the cross, Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do." Were his tormentors sorry? No. In fact, many of them were mocking Him in His time of agony. He forgave them anyway.
Open your heart's door and shoo the grudge away. Then, forgive the person who gave it to you. You will feel better. Your heart will fill lighter. And if that grudge ever finds its way back and scratches at your door, pretend you are not home.
Remember, if you hold grudges, you won't be able to hold much else.
